Our
Purpose
To
glorify God, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit
This is our
highest motivation and all-encompassing purpose.
We do not glorify man, organization, or government, but God,
and we evaluate what we do by this standard.
GRA has many
functions, responsibilities, and ministries, but only one
basic purpose. Everything we do is related to that purpose.
Evangelize
We believe that
mankind is lost and needs to be redeemed through Christ
Jesus, whom we proclaim as Savior. This distinguishes us
from humanitarian agencies.
The
Unreached
Our major
concern is for unevangelized people groups. We are also
reaching out for individuals, villages and communities who
need a cross-cultural witness if they are to understand the
gospel.
Minister
to Human Need
We see
ministering to human need as scripturally valid. We do this
in the context of our central purpose.
Disciple
Believers
This involves
teaching the Word of God, developing the gifts of the body,
bringing believers to maturity in Christ.
Churches
GRA is a
church-planting mission, which distinguishes us from the
majority that specialize only on evangelism or charity
purpose. We believe the local church is God's provision for
worship, witness, and edification of the believer.
Equipping
This involves
providing skills and leadership training which will enable
the churches to be bases for missions. The end result we
seek is the local church reaching out to others who are
unevangelized and this has proven to be very effective in
every region where the Lord has used GRA to impact His end
time vision.
Our Values
Our 12 Core
Values describe what's important to us at GRA, and define
who we are.
- As
Christians - committed to the whole biblical truth,
dependent on God, and people of prayer (Joshua 1: 8,
Jer. 23: 29,1 Pet. 1: 24-25).
- As
Evangelicals - mission-focused, church-centered, and
concerned about human needs (Matt. 28: 18-29, Eph. 4:
11-16)
- As a
Mission Organization - a Christ like family, a sharing
community, international, and nondenominational (Eph.
3: 15,Rev. 7: 9-10)
-
Service - We are created to serve and minister to
others resulting in lives that are changed forever.
(Matt. 20:28)
- God's
Love to us - God is greatly in love with us and is
committed to our growth and development. (John 16:27,
Jer.31:3, Deut.7:6-8)
-
Excellence - We are committed to a life and ministry
of absolute excellence. (Daniel 6:3, Philippians 1:10)
- Giving
- Our life is to give, not to take. (2 Cor. 8:3-5,
Matt.20:28)
-
Godliness - Our character will determine our destiny.
(2 Peter 1:1, Romans1:1)
-
Meekness and Lowliness -Staying teachable makes us
able to teach. (Prov. 4:1-2, 5-9 & 9:9)
-
Relationship with other believers - We are committed
to covenant relationships (1 Sam.18:1-5, 20:23).
The way we treat others is the truest barometer of our
relationship with God. (1 John 4:20)
- Our
survival and dependency - We live by faith and the
complete integrity of God's Word (2 Corinthians 5:7,
Hebrews 11:6, 6:19). By faith we're dependent on God
for the provision of all our needs. We also recognize that
God has given us the responsibility to work with
diligence, integrity, and accountability in cultivating
and using the resources he has given us (Rom 12: 7, 11
Cor. 8: 21, Ps. 62: 5-8)
- Our
passion - We will pursue our principles unto death.
(Heb. 10:35-39)
If you share
these Core Values, if you believe in the same biblical
truths, if you feel God has called you to the same
purpose…we encourage you to consider prayerfully how you
should respond.
We don't
claim to always live up to these values for now, but they
form the standard against which we measure ourselves. If you
share these values, as well as the biblical essentials by
which we live, and would like to grow in the expression of
them, perhaps God is leading you to identify in some way
with the GRA family -
- To
pray
- To
give
- To
team up
- To
go
The Lord
might be asking you to reach out to us in Faith, Please
prayerfully consider this and if so you have started
something that can be the most powerful and exciting event
in your walk with the Lord. You have made a step of faith by
reaching out to us and touching the heart of God "lost
souls" and we are so thankful to the Lord for that contact,
and the new relationship to obey and serve the Lord. |
