Are You A Vessel of Honor or Dishonor? by Dr. 'Tayo Brown

“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work”
1 Tim 2: 20-21

Friends, we are commanded to purge ourselves of all things that defile in order to be a vessel of honor, the Lord is not going to purge us but we are mandated to purge ourselves of those things is in lives that does not honor God, the scripture says all things are lawful to me but not all things are expedient and I will not be brought under the power of any. We are admonished to lay aside every weight and sin which easily slow us down.

The word purge means to make free of something unwanted, that is when we can become vessels of honor. The Lord at this end time final harvest seeks for a lot of laborers in His vineyard but most of the vessels in the great house are unto dishonor, they are made of wood and earth, they can’t stand the test of time. Isaiah 48: 10 says, behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. The Lord chose his vessel in the furnace of affliction, most people does not want this experience, they never wanted to get burnt, but have you forgotten that the Lord gives beauty for ashes? where does the ash comes from? When we rid ourselves of the works of flesh and every carnality then we will be a fine tuned vessel, ready for the masters use and prepared unto every good work. Some people get into the Lord’s work without purging themselves of these things.

Joshua told the people to sanctify themselves against tomorrow for the Lord is ready to do wonders among them likewise the glory ahead is so great, the former and the latter rain all in the first month, the feast of the tabernacles, this will only be experienced by prepared vessels unto honor. Psalm 50: 5 says gather to me my saints, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice not just those so called saints who are ordinarily calling him Lord with their mouth with their heart very far from him, they have no sacrificial covenant binding them with the Lord, they can’t be gathered unto the Lord at his coming for the Lord knows those who are really His. Are you ready for this great revival that has begun, it might not be popular now, but it has begun, the Lord has started raising up unto himself his chosen servants who will go all the way.

For other foundation can no man lay than Jesus Christ, all those who will build on this foundation should build with enduring material that can stand the test of time. Majority does not want to wait for all these, they prefer it quick and micro waved, it doesn’t take too much time to produce wood, hay and stubble and these are very cheap materials that is what some vessels are made of but there are still vessels of honor. Which one are you? Vessel of honor or dishonor, it’s not just by mouth ?

True Riches to Build God's Cities in Financial Revival

“...He shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives…” Isaiah 45: 13 “ ...Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad ; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion…” Zech 1: 17 .

Are we prepared for the work ahead? ?The Lord will soon lavish upon his chosen people abundant finances and true riches not the false one that will be used for that great & final harvest. The world has never seen such a wealth that will be released on us, the greater than Solomon purposely to build God’s house. This house is not an hundred million seat cathedral but precious souls of Men in the unreached areas of the world.

It’s time we begin to abandon an attitude of indifference and fatalism in our very tiny comfort zone. For the blessing to come, someone will have to meet the conditions and pay the price. Let's ask of him in unity as we pray and He will give us the heathen for our heritage and the uttermost part of the earth for our possession at this end time.

Parting Thoughts...

In Israel’s time, under God’s judgment, people awakened to a realization of better days and liked this back to their previous relationship with Him. Prayer went up in agony for deliverance, and God raised up another leader and another restoration. You can see it in the cyclical story of Biblical history, in the Gideons, Jepthas, and Jehosaphats, the Hezekiahs and Josiahs, where one man pleaded with God for the many, where godly man stood up for the nation instead of a godly nation standing as one man. It is in the record of the book of Judges where those like God’s “incredible Hulk” Samson stood in the gap for an apostatizing nation like other heroes before and after him, generation after generation. It is these  intercessors that we are in need of today, to wrought revival.
