Drinking From the Father's Cup

“Then said Jesus unto Peter , Put up thy sword into
the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I
not drink it? Jn 18: 11
"Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my father,
and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of
angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that
thus it must be” Matt. 26:53-54
Friends, there are many figurative cups in the scripture
like the cup of judgments, Ps 11: 6, the cup of salvation
and blessings Ps 16: 5,23: 5, the cup of sufferings of
Messiah, the cup of communion of the blood of Christ, cup of
abominations and so on.
The mother of James and John was worshipping and petitioning
the Lord purposely because of power and position for her two
sons, she will not ask that they might manifest the fruit of
the spirit or for them to be more like Jesus, what is our
motive for asking those request in prayer, we must not ask
amiss , Jesus asked them whether they were able to drink the
cup that he would drink and they will drink that cup because
they are willing to do anything for power and for position,
can they drink it because they thirst for Him, because they
love him , because they want to be like Him. This is the
heart attitude of majority today and the Lord is searching
our heart.
When we are born again we drink of this cup, that is why we
can worthily take Holy communion afterwards, but there is
still another cup for us to drink if we are to drink of an
overflowing cup of blessing. Friends, it's no other cup but
the cup of obedience to the word of God. Many people don’t
want to talk about this, but we can’t drink the cup of the
Lord while we are drinking the cup of devils (Disobeying
God’s law - 1 Cor. 10: 21), then we will be drinking the cup
of the Lord unworthily.
There is a Father’s cup for you and me and this we have to
drink in order for the scriptures to be fulfilled in our
lives. Thank God the Lord Jesus Christ has drank the cup of
suffering meant for you and me, they gave him vinegar that
was mingled with gall to drink when he thirst for our soul
in order to fulfill the scripture and to finish the work of
redemption, are you ready to drink from the cup of obedience
today like our Father Abraham in offering Isaac? Like Joseph
in denying self? Like Paul that said yea all that will live
godly in this life shall suffer persecution.
Start obeying God henceforth at this time and live a life
that is pleasing to the Father. What ever it takes to
fulfill the scripture in your lives, do it, and your cup of
blessing will run over. Are you thirsty for God today?

We Can Turn
Our Losses Around By...
If you ever need someone to tell you how to turn what has
been lost to blessings, then go to God. He lost Lucifer, His
top-ranked most anointed angel, He lost at least a third of
His angels, He lost the man and woman that he created, they
have dominion over the earth and God lost this earth that He
had already given them. But guess what God knows how to turn
the losses around. He knows how to operate the law of giving
and receiving. “Give, and it shall be given unto you..” Lk
6: 38
Out of all the wisdom and power that God has to turn
these losses around He only chose the LAW OF GIVING. He gave
the most irreplaceable thing he had: His only Son, then he
backed that gift with His own faith and through the law of
giving and receiving operated by Almighty Father God
millions of other sons were received. Don’t despair over
your losses redeem them same way today, GIVE and the most
powerful principle in the universe will be at work for
you. This is life everlasting.

Parting Thoughts...
We are facing it today as did our spiritual fathers before
us - the cycle of change and decay, of reformation and
apostasy, the existence of a nation with a godly heritage
that follows the pattern of Israel’s four-fold collapse:
Israel forgot God, they forgot His laws, they made new gods
and new laws. The devil knows what can happen when people
forget being Godly. The second law of Thermodynamics means
that the energy of a system is transformed into a different,
less structured , type of energy. The measure of this
disorder is called entropy.
There has been a moral entropy introduced in our race and
generation and without a constant investment of higher power
and ordering wisdom, man left to himself will decay, undergo
disorder, and die. All these add up—the devil, the death of
the godly generation and the law of internal decay, that is
why a revival is mandatory: we need continuous reform and
awakening in our generation. Oh Lord! Revive us again.
