The Word and the World by Dr. 'Tayo Brown

"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” James 4: 4

Friends, we need to reiterate the need for the present Church to completely severe herself from anything that is of the world. We are a called out generation, a peculiar people. We are not of this world though we are in the world. Jesus prayed for us in John 17: 15-16 that the Father should keep us from the evil that is in this world rather than to be taken out of the world for then the whole world will be submerged in darkness and bitterness for we are the salt and the light of the world. Jesus said and lo I come and the prince of this world has nothing in me.

When the Lord spiritually x-ray our lives can he find worldly things in us. Do not be deceived, our God is not mocked for whatsoever a man sows that he will reap. Paul said the world is crucified unto me and I unto the world. Enough of practicing one good to the exclusion of another for every kingdom divided against itself shall not stand.

If truly we had experience salvation the of God in our spirit we should allow the same to manifest in our soul and body. We do not just want to preach salvation, morality, and Christian responsibility to the exclusion of experience. You cannot serve God and mammon. The word of God commands to come out from among the world and to be separate. The world will only create spots and blemishes to our garments of salvation but thanks be to God for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin. We are not to love the world neither any thing that is in the world . We are to love and delight in the WORD OF GOD instead.

Pure religion is to visit the fatherless and the widow in their affliction, and to keep ourselves UNSPOTTED from the world let’s continually receive the engrafted word of God that will save our souls.

Are We Friends or Enemies of God? - Just Look in the Mirror

“And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever” 1 John 2: 17.

There is no doubt about it that this world will pass away and the lust in the world but those who are doing the will of God will abide for ever. What is the will of God” The word of God is the will of God.

The bible does not say that those who are going to Church or those who are calling Jesus Lord nor those who are preaching and performing miracles will abide forever BUT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE DOING THE WILL OF GOD. Are you doing God’s will? Do you even know His will ? Get into the word and out of the world today and begin to Do the will of God and you will abide forever

Parting Thoughts...

The saints are flocking to the movie theaters. Does this scare you? People wonder, “There’s supposed to be something wrong with that?” Consider the fact that the stars of most pictures blaspheme God and break all His commandments. They fornicate, murder, lust, steal, commit adultery, envy, hate, even to a sickening degree. How can a born again saint of God be entertained by this? One individual responded “It’s not that you’re entertained by those things, you just ignore those things and enjoy the movie” but you know sin can be enjoyed for a season. In Heb 11: 24, Moses chose to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Make your choice.
